Reading The Family Trap on Video

Thanks to everyone who’s nominated a hunk for the mini comp. (No, the prize is not a Mini! It’s a Valentine’s pamper kit!) And super-thanks to everyone who has bought a copy of The Family Trap on Kindle. Here are the links if you haven’t got yours yet: UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Family-Trap-ebook/dp/B00BBJVLSE/ US http://www.amazon.com/The-Family-Trap-ebook/dp/B00BBJVLSE/

As a treat (?!) for new readers, here I am reading the first chapter of The Family Trap in my lounge last November. Regular blog viewers might have seen this so stifle those yawns!

Now for giveaway time! The first five people to leave a comment and tell me what they liked about the first chapter I just read out WINS a Kindle copy of The Family Trap. It’s that easy :)

I’ll be back after lunch, don’t eat all the nibbles and keep the Champagne flowing!

  1. Hi Jo,

    Happy Launch Day!

My favourite part of chapter one is the sentence where Stella says: “Lipsy’s baby is born in the toilet.” I made me laugh out loud and I thought fitted the tone and scene perfectly.

  2. I like Lipsy telling them all to piss-off in the cubicle and Stella realising that she is an independent person. The whole first part is very amusing.

  3. I like it that you jumped straight in, to bring the story up to date. A graphic start once again shared in that honest friendly tone style that you write so well. Birthing is a beautiful-brutal-comedy-tragic moment in life – captured that.

  4. Brilliant. Was welling up, listening to you read it, imagining it happening to one of my girls. Good luck with launch!

  5. Good luck with the launch. Guess it`s been a long, long road.

  6. Loved this! You should make an audiobook — your accent is lovely :)
