Results So Far (and the arrival of The Books!)

We’re about halfway through our online launch of The Family Trap, and here are the results so far:

24 downloads on Kindle!

Thanks so much to everyone for your support, thanks to my wonderful Beta Readers – you’re all mentioned in the acknowledgments section at the end of the book – and thanks to those who are celebrating here with me by taking part in the competitions and giveaways.

On Tuesday morning my paperback copies arrived – here is a little video of me opening the box and seeing my new book for the very first time:

They are beautiful! Chris Howard, cover designer, has done himself proud with these – I am over the moon with the look and feel of the finished product. If you’d like an actual paperback copy of The Family Trap, they will be available on Amazon soon – or you could pop over to Whitchurch, Shropshire and buy one from me in person this Saturday! I’ll be signing books and celebrating the launch of the paperback there from 11.00 am.

Signing poster 16 Feb 2013

This afternoon, over on Facebook, I’ll be posting a wedding photo competition. The first five people to upload their wedding photo will win a Kindle copy of The Family Trap. So dig out those photos and get them ready!

Meanwhile, I’ll be judging the Valentine’s Day Hunk comp, and announcing the results of that around 6:00pm. And don’t forget that I’ll also be choosing a comment from the blog at random today and giving away a signed paperback copy of the book to the winner. So keep those comments coming. Back to the champers! :)

  1. Oh Jo, I can feel the excitement! It’s so wonderful when you hold the printed copy of your book for the first time. Great you could share this moment with us! Thank you! xxx

  2. You’re like a kid on Christmas morning opening their presents! As for my Valentine’s Day super-hunk nomination (apart from my hubby of course…) it’d have to be The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper. Hope the champagne is flowing ;-)

  3. You’re so brave to have the camera running: I think I’ll probably dissolve in tears when I open a similar box… although I do realise this is probably your third (or more?) time around! I got pretty darn excited when I saw a test of my cover on my Kindle!
Congrats, do hope you’re pleased with how it’s going. And remember, America is only just waking up!

    • Hi Pauline, Yes this is my second time of opening the box of goodies – the first time I was too tense and anxious to enjoy it though. Also it was first thing in the morning so no video camera was coming near me! You are up really early! xxx

  4. Lovely to see you opening the books, Jo – as exciting as watching a child on Christmas morning!!

  5. Hi Jo & Happy Launch Day! I have been sneaking on and checking out what you’ve been up to throughout the day (ssshhh, don’t tell the boss!) It’s all so exciting and I am so happy for you! I can’t wait to read The Family Trap! Wish I lived a bit closer to Whitchurch … I would be there to bag my signed copy and have a chat! Love, Emma x

    • Thanks Emma (hope you don’t get into trouble). I wish you lived closer too – but I’m hoping to do something in MK soon as well. Just need to work on the manager of Waterstones … :) xxx

      • Emma Dellow

Don’t worry I didn’t get in trouble, hehe!!! Wow, that would be brilliant if you were able to do an event in MK – I would definitely come along. Fingers crossed you can sort something out, congrats on a fab Launch Day xxx

  6. A whole box of books! Man, I can’t wait to open my own box and feel as awesome as you look like you felt in the video :D I also love the guy filming it — you were super excited, and he was like “Yeah, okay, all right”. Lol.
